Dr Julie Bullen has a 20-year track record of working with clients across a range of organisations: the service sector, manufacturing, engineering, IT, financial organisations and the public sector.
Much of her recent work with teams focuses on helping to launch successful Project Teams, mainly through facilitating open discussions of key business issues and other challenges facing the team. This work is also useful for teams that have stalled or are in conflict.
A recent project involved facilitating an accelerated integration of teams from different organisations working together in a Joint Venture. The work was top down from the leadership team to the middle management of the different disciplines involved. The JV set records for the speed taken to obtain joint decisions with the client and to negotiate an agreed Target Cost.
Working with executives as a coach, the focus depends on the individual, examples are; leading organisations through major change or crisis; the first 100 days; making the transition to senior/Director level; and building more cohesive executive teams.
At the organisational level, Julie has been involved in larger-scale projects effecting changes in culture. “Your vision and alignment process is a great tool as a solution to businesses that need real transformation” (VP), or organisations that need to bring together different company cultures after a merger, or need strong leadership through a crisis.
Julie has worked in the UK and Ireland, the USA, Europe and India. Prior to moving to consultancy in 1989, Julie worked as a clinical psychologist and is a Chartered Psychologist.
Clients to date include Price Waterhouse Coopers; Standard Chartered Bank; Prudential; IBM; Dell; Arcadia; BBC; Laing; Robert MacAlpine; Vinci; Corus; SwetsBlackwell (UK); James Paget NHS Trust; Acorns Hospice; Markem Systems Ltd; Cabinet Office and DWP; London Business School.

The business has benefited significantly. I am performing better in many areas. A percentage improvement on £400m is money well spent… It has been hugely beneficial.
Coach to Director in the Civil Service
I wanted to say once again how positive and productive I found our work together….. It really helped me to reassess my personal and professional goals and at just the right time. I feel now much more focused and centred about my life and what I want to do with it. I can trace that directly back to our sessions. A big thankyou … I came away feeling that we had made more progress in this (workshop) than any other I’ve ever done!
